Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) is the official governing body for
badminton in Sri Lanka, dedicated to the development and promotion of this exciting sport across
the nation. With a rich history and a growing community of athletes, SLB strives to elevate
badminton to new heights on both national and international stages.
The influx of sponsorships has played a significant role in revitalizing popular ranking
tournaments and other local events, helping to discover fresh young talent. Senior and junior
players are now part of dedicated training pools and benefit from international professional
coaching, aimed at elevating the standard of badminton in Sri Lanka. Additionally, top players
are supported in participating in international ranking tournaments, which has helped improve
                        their global rankings.

The SLB’s new motto, "Serving for Success," reflects the association’s renewed vision and
mission to promote and uplift badminton in Sri Lanka.
Our mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower badminton players of all levels—from grassroots
development to elite performance. Through our strong partnerships with provincial and sectoral
associations, we foster a supportive environment that encourages skill development,
sportsmanship, and a passion for the game.

To inspire, develop, and elevate the sport of badminton in Sri Lanka by fostering talent, building partnerships, and creating a platform for both national and international success. We aim to make badminton a sport accessible to all, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participants.
To become the most vibrant and popular sport in Sri Lanka, with the goal of producing players ranked within the top 25 in the world by 2030.
